ROGERS, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas State Police say two people have been killed in separate automobile crashes on state roads.
Police say 44-year-old Jennie Lewis of Bella Vista and 38-year-old Margo Lesure of Malvern died in the accidents Friday.
A police report says Lewis was killed about 10:45 p.m. when she turned her car into the path of a tractor-trailer rig on U.S. Highway 62 in Rogers.
Troopers say Lesure died earlier Friday when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving on Highway 270 in Garland County. The police report says Lesure’s eastbound vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a westbound vehicle.
The reports say the roadways were wet at the time of both collisions.
