MH 14-year-olds experience delays en route to Babe Ruth World Series

     It has been a tough week for several air passengers around the world after Delta Airlines began having delays on Monday, and one local group had such an experience. The Mountain Home 14-year-old baseball team had a setback as it was traveling to Westfield, Massachusetts, to compete in the Babe Ruth World Series, but the Blue Devils eventually reached its destination.

     Delta’s troubles began early Monday when a global computer system outage caused many of its flights around the world to be cancelled. According to Mountain Home head coach Lance Gross, his team was a few of many who were temporarily stranded on Tuesday.

     Gross says his team was delayed several hours, and the experience was nerveracking for the players and coaches.

     The Blue Devils’ first game in the Babe Ruth World Series will be Thursday morning at ten.
