Football and volleyball on tap at Bomberfest

The sixth annual Bomberfest will be held Friday night at Bomber Stadium and Bomber Gymnasium. Fans of football and volleyball will have a chance to see the high school and junior high teams scrimmage during the event.



Volleyball starts the evening in the gym. The 7th grade will scrimmage at 5:30. At 6:15, the 8th and 9th grade teams will scrimmage. The high school volleyball team will be introduced at 7:00. While the high school team will not take the court, head coach Lindsey Leonard says it’s good to see what the junior high teams can do.

The football action starts on the field with the introduction of the 7th and 8th grade teams at 7:35. At 7:45, the high school and 9th grade football teams will begin their practice. Mountain Home High School head football coach David Joyce says Bomberfest is always a fun event and a chance for fans to preview the upcoming season.

Admission to Bomberfest will be a canned food item for the First United Methodist Church Backpack Food For Kids program.



The Lady Bombers’ volleyball team will begin their season Monday at home against West Plains.

The Football Bombers will host Highland Tuesday for their pre-season scrimmage then travel to Harrison September 2nd to begin the regular season.
