MH golf splits at Harrison, Izard County boys and Salem girls win

The Mountain Home High School golf teams earned one win and a tie at Harrison Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Bombers were victorious over Harrison. Sydney Czantskowski led the way with a 94 while Vinessa Daniel shot a 101.

The Bombers and Goblins tied. Gage McClain led Mountain Home with an 84 and Luke Jackson had a 91.

The Mountain Home golf teams host Springdale Har-Ber Friday at Big Creek Golf & Country Club.





The Izard County boys’ golf team won a six-team match at the Course on Turkey Mountain. The Cougars shot 130 to finish 18 strokes ahead of Hillcrest. Salem was fourth, Calico Rock fifth and Mammoth Spring sixth.

Tyler Pemberton of Izard County was medalist with a 42 while Matthew Workman had a 43.

Salem was led by River Galbraith with a 49.

Cole Whiteaker shot a 53 for Calico Rock.

On the girls’ side, Salem won with a 172, 21 strokes ahead of Hillcrest. Calico Rock was third.

Izard County’s Mikayla Kish was medalist with a 43.

Bailey York led Salem with a 51.

Calico Rock’s top golfer was Fallon Shrake with a 59.
