A Mountain Home man is in jail after allegedly assaulting a woman inside her residence.

According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, the boyfriend of the victim said he was approaching her residence when he heard her screaming inside. Upon entry, he says he found 35-year-old Ian Michael Tice on top of the victim with a gun in his hand. The two began to fight, and after the struggle, Tice returned to his home.

When sheriff’s deputies spoke with Tice at his home, they observed injuries to his face and neck. Tice denied the allegations against him. Sheriff’s deputies could see Tice had drug paraphernalia, smoking pipes, inside his home and he was arrested. A pistol and holster were also found inside his home.

After a follow up interview, Tice was charged with felony counts of residential burglary, aggravated assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tice’s bond is set at $75,000. He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
