The Baxter County Republican Party held a grand opening event for its new headquarters on Friday. Several Republican officials and local residents were at the offices located in the Westcreek Centre at the corner of Highway 62B and Bomber Boulevard as they took advantage of a photo opportunity with a life-size cutout of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Baxter County Republican Vice Chair and Arkansas State Representative Nelda Speaks gave credit to fellow Vice Chair and Gassville Alderman Rick Peglar for finding their new headquarters.

Peglar says the local party has been successful in the past in getting Republicans elected to local offices, but they don’t want to rest on their laurels.
