MHHS volleyball gets back in win column

The Mountain Home High School volleyball team was able to pick up its first district win Thursday night at home. The Lady Bombers defeated Vilonia in straight sets by scores of 28-26, 25-22 and 27-25.



Claudia Carter led Mountain Home with seven kills and seven blocks, Ashley Pyeatt added seven kills, Anna Taylor dished out ten assists, and Mackayla Medley recorded eight digs and two aces. The Lady Bombers improve to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in the 6A/5A-2.



Mountain Home also had a straight set victory in the junior varsity match. The J.V. Lady Bombers topped Vilonia 25-16 and 25-10.



Mountain Home steps out of district play on Tuesday when they go to Brookland.
