A Midway man, 37-year-old Christopher Richard Jorsch, is in the Baxter County Detention Center on a bevy of new charges.
Jorsch was charged Thursday with felony theft of property, commercial burglary, breaking or entering, criminal mischief and failure to appear, adding to his already lengthy record.
In August, Jorsch was charged in the burglary of a local car dealership from where authorities say he stole a 2009 Dodge Avenger.
Arkansas State Police and Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Car Mart in Mountain Home after a burglary alarm was received and discovered the door had been shattered with a piece of cinder block. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Jorsch was developed as a suspect after video surveillance from the business revealed his identity.
Surrounding law enforcement agencies were notified and Christopher Jorsch was apprehended in Fulton County a short time later.
Baxter County Sheriff's Investigators charged Jorsch with felony commercial burglary, felony theft of property, three counts felony breaking or entering and criminal mischief.
Court records show that on May 21, 2016, Edward Griffin, a Mountain Home Police Investigator, saw Jorsch walking near a local auto parts store in Mountain Home. When Griffin stopped to speak with Jorsch he noticed Jorsch drop a substance from his left hand. The substance field tested positive for heroin. The case is on-going.
Jorsch's bond on the newest charges is $31,485.
