The Baxter County Quorum Court will meet in regular session Tuesday evening at 6 in the second floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse. Under old business, the members will consider a resolution supporting an amendment to the Arkansas Constitution to encourage job creation, expansion and economic development. On the agenda under new business is an ordinance to appropriate fees and reimbursement received in July to the sheriff’s department budget; two ordinances to appropriate funds from the sale of vehicles and materials to the road and bridge department budget; an ordinance re-appropriating funds within the county assessor’s budget; an ordinance to re-appropriate funds to the animal control budget from the county general; a resolution authorizing the destruction of records in the sheriff’s office; resolutions confirming the reappointments of Steven Obenauf and Mike St. Romaine to the 101-Gamaliel Fire Protection DiIstrict Board of Commissioners and resolutions confirming the appointment of Kevin Lorenz to the Grover Township Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners and Ronnie Langston to the Norfork Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners and a resolution declaring support for the airport commissions improvement grant project and authorizing the county judge to execute the grant agreement on behalf of the Baxter County Airport Commission.
