A Stone County woman was arrested on a pair of felony drug charges and an alleged parole violation. According to Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds, 36-year-old Holly Engle of Mountain View faces a Class B count of possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to pack, repack, analyze or contain crystal methamphetamine and a Class D count possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use methamphetamine.

Sheriff Bonds says Investigator Jim Doss and officers with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections conducted a parole home visit after learning Engle was living at a residence on Roasting Ear Road in Fifty Six. Authorities observed Engle on the front porch as they pulled in, and she ran into the residence after contact was made with her. She came out of the bathroom as authorities entered the house. A marijuana smoking pipe was located on the bathroom floor, and Engle was taken into custody. A small screwdriver was also found in the toilet.

During a search, two lock boxes were found on the top shelf of the closet in Engle’s bedroom. Engle said she didn’t have a key to one box, and she didn’t know who the other box belonged to. After officers opened the box, they located numerous jewelry style baggies including some with white residue inside, a set of digital scales, syringes, straws with white residue inside, spoons and scoops with white residue, a glass smoking device with a connected tube containing white residue, numerous marijuana smoking devices and a marijuana grinder. The scoops and the glass smoking device, field tested positive for crystal methamphetamine, and at least two of the baggies tested positive for methamphetamine.

Engle was transported to the Stone County Detention Center, and she awaits a circuit court date.
