Mountain Home man charged with possession of meth with purpose to deliver

     The Arkansas State Police arrested a Mountain Home man Wednesday for, among other charges, possession of methamphetamine.

     According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, 41-year-old Michael George Scudder is charged with two counts possession of meth or cocaine with the purpose to deliver; two counts possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a firearm by a certain person, damaging telephone electric wires, theft of services and criminal trespassing. Michael George Scudder is also charged under the habitual criminal act.

     According to Baxter County Court records, Scudder pled guilty to theft of property in June 2003.

     Scudder is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on $35,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
