Portions of Baxter County began experiencing a power outage Friday afternoon. According to Entergy Arkansas, nearly 2,300 of its customers are currently affected between Mountain Home and Cotter.
Entergy says the outage occurred just after three p.m., and it covers an area from near Mountain Home Junior High School to the northern edge of downtown Cotter. A serviceman is on the scene working to determine the cause of the outage, and Entergy reports power will be restored as soon as possible.
