Baxter County Fair Pageant crowns winners

     The Baxter County Fair held its opening activities Saturday evening. The fair pageant crowned its new winners at Dunbar Auditorium on the campus of Mountain Home High School.

     The honor of Baxter County Fair Queen for 2016 went to Brooke Barnes, the daughter of Nevin and Tammy Barnes of Henderson. The first alternate is Natalie Ungerank, the daughter of Mark and Hazel Ungerank of Mountain Home, and Nikki Collins, the daughter of Ronnie and Lisa Collins of Mountain Home, is the second alternate.

     The Baxter County Fair Princess crown is now being worn by Logann Merriman, the daughter of Chad and Julie Merriman of Mountain Home. Hailey Cordell, the daughter of Josh and Ashley Cordell of Mountain Home, was named the first alternate, and the second alternate is Maegann Ingle, the daughter of Billy Ingle of Clarkridge. In addition, the People’s Choice Award went to Mia Joy Treat, the daughter of Kenny and Melanie Pierce of Mountain Home.

     Alianna Boucher, the daughter of Lisa Cloyd of Mountain Home, was named Miss Baxter County. The first alternate is McKenzie Tolbert, the daughter of Donny and Melissa Tolbert of Norfork, Cate Jackson, the daughter of Craig and LeeAnne Jackson of Mountain Home, was selected as the second alternate, and the People’s Choice Award was won by Brooke Bayless, the daughter of Paul and Angela Bayless of Gassville.

     Jaidyn McCurley, the daughter of Tiffany McCurley and John Waters of Mountain Home, took home the honor of Junior Miss Baxter County. The first alternate is Kinsey DeVine, the daughter of Tonya DeVine of Mountain Home, Marlee Shields, the daughter of Sammie and Monica Shields of Norfork, was named the second alternate, and the People’s Choice Award went to Alexia Loudermilk, the daughter of Paul and Kelli Loudermilk of Gassville.

     Lisa Cloyd had another daugher in the pageant as Nevah Boucher was named Little Miss Baxter County. Jaycie Burroughs, the daughter of Candace McCoy of Mountain Home, is the first alternate, the second alternate is Morgan Lipe, the daughter of Mitchell and Kimberlee Lipe of Cotter, and Laney Lueck, the daughter of Nathan and Monica Lueck of Mountain Home, won the People’s Choice Award.

     The honor of Petite Miss Baxter County went to Marlee Dewey, the daughter of Jeremy and Sarah Dewey of Mountain Home. The first alternate is Ally Wheeler, the daughter of Dusty and Monica Wheeler of Mountain Home, and London Teague, the daughter of Briana Voran and Lane Teague of Mountain Home, was named the second alternate and won the People’s Choice Award.

     Ella Willard, the daughter of Josh and Lacey Willard of Gassville, won the Tiny Tot Queen division. The first alternate is Samira Gassama, the daughter of Travis Ifland and Stephonie Bennett of Mountain Home, Zoey Kaye, the daughter of Ryan and Chelsea Kaye and Stephanie Kaye of Mountain Home, was picked as the second alternate, and the People’s Choice Award went to Lyric McKinney, the daughter of Kurtis and Jamie McKinney of Mountain Home.

     The pageant began with the Tiny Tot King division as the win went to Henry Wunderlin, the son of Megan and Tim Wunderlin of Mountain Home. The People’s Choice Award was won by first alternate Jake Katakis, the son of Jon and Becky Katakis of Mountain Home, and Korben Pierce, the son of Kenny and Melanie Pierce of Mountain Home, is the second alternate.
