The Gaston Lecture Series will host a presentation by Wendy Simmons in which she will discuss her book, My Holiday in North Korea: The Funniest/Worst Places on Earth.

Simmons says the book offers a glimpse of North Korea from her perspective, chronicling one of the strangest vacations the writer has ever taken.

Simmons says she was accompanied by handlers from the time she arrived to the day she departed, guiding her on the tour based solely on the dear leader.

Simmons says she plans to visit every country on the planet and detail what she encounters in her book. Of the more than 80-countries shes visited, she says North Korea is definitely one of the weirdest.

Simmons will speak on North Korea and other places she has visited Tuesday evening at 6 in the McClure Convention Center at the Sheid on the campus of Arkansas State University Mountain Home.

The Gaston Lecture series is free and open to the public.
