The Melbourne Industrial Development Council has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for Friday morning at ten. According to Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence, a 62,000-square foot warehouse will be constructed and and leased to the Mohawk Flooring Plant in Melbourne.
The building site will be on Highway 9 Spur past the sheriff’s office across from the Mohawk facility. Mohawk plans to expand production and increase its employment by more than 60 employees.
The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public.
