BATESVILLE, Ark. (AP) – A manufacturer of four-wheel drive utility vehicles and zero-turn mowers says it’s expanding its manufacturing plant in Arkansas and building a second facility, a move the company says will add 400 new full-time employees over four years.

Intimidator Inc. announced Monday it’s spending $12 million on expanding its Batesville facility and the new facility at the Independence County industrial park. The company is headquartered in Batesville and owned by Robert and Becky Foster, who own Bad Dawg Accessories. The companies currently employ 111 people in Batesville.

The state economic development commission said the company is receiving $1.5 million in community development block grant funds. The company will also receive cash rebates for new jobs created and sales tax refunds on building materials, machinery and equipment associated with the expansion.
