Bridge Bash raises over 500,000 for Food Bank of NCA

     Big Spring Park in downtown Cotter was the site for the sixth annual Bridge Bash benefitting the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas. Saturday's fundraising event provided over 500,000 to the Food Bank and its 75 member hunger relief agencies in Baxter, Boone, Fulton, Izard, Marion, Newton, Searcy, Sharp and Stone Counties.
     In addition, Food Bank volunteers packaged just over 100,000 during Bridge Bash. Over 600 volunteers occupied the meal-packaging tent throughout the day.
     Food Bank of North Central Arkansas CEO Jeff Quick says the organization would like to thank everyone who participated in Bridge Bash. All funds raised Saturday will be spent on food for those in need in north central Arkansas.
