Arkansas State University Mountain Home is the recipient of an $865,216 pipeline to advanced manufacturing grant which the college hopes will help raise the standard of living for employers and employees in the Twin Lakes Area.
The grant will be administered through the Arkansas Department of Higher Education on behalf of the Governor’s Workforce Cabinet. The grant project is called pipeline to advanced manufacturing and ASUMH Chancellor Dr. Robin Myers says it is set to serve it’s first clients in the coming weeks.

Manufacturing firms in the Twin Lakes Area, spanning Baxter and Marion Counties, have reported a need for technically skilled workers. The pipeline grant looks to find qualified applicants and the development of a pipeline of individuals, two of the challenges facing local employers.

Dr. Myers says a group of individuals will be working with local businesses and students to help those in the community find a job that suits them best.
