Two West Plains residents and a Michigan woman were injured in a two vehicle accident in Howell County Friday evening. A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 87 year old Marshall L. Cawvey of West Plains and two passengers in his vehicle, 81 year old Janet L. Cawvey, also of West Plains and 85 year old Fern T. Duke of Grand Blanc, Michigan were transported to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. The injuries of the two women were described as moderate and the driver sustained minor injuries.
The accident of State Highway 17 a half mile south of West Plains occurred when Cawvey, driving a 2005 Jeep, struck a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 36 year old Sabrina Porterfield of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas who was uninjured in the 5:50 p.m. accident.
