Two drivers involved in a three vehicle accident shortly after 10 Saturday morning in Cotter injured, according to Cotter Police Chief Clint Tilton. He says 20 year old Devin Manuel and 70 year old Johnny Rogers, Sr. were transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center following the accident on U. S. Highway 62 and Denton Ferry Road.
Tilton says the collision occurred as 69 year old Allen Erickson was crossing highway 62 in a 200 Chevrolet van and failed to yield to a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by Manuel who was eastbound on highway 62. The van struck the Manuel vehicle on the front right side causing it to flip onto a 2010 Ford Escape driven by Rogers which was also traveling east on highway 62.
Erickson was uninjured in the accident, which is still under investigation.
Assisting the Cotter Police Department were first responders from the Cotter and Gassville Fire Departments and the Arkansas State Police.
