Website with statewide school information available to the public

The Arkansas Department of Education has made a new website available to the public called My School Info. Mountain Home Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says rather than visiting multiple websites, information is at one convenient location for use by parents, students, staff members and the public.

Dr. Eric Saunders, the Arkansas Department of Educations’ assistant commissioner for research and technology says the site’s simple design puts all the information on a school and/or district easily available, resulting in more informed decisions about student-focused education in the state.

Users can search for information by school and district name, city, district, zip code, county, education service cooperative and legislative district.

The My School Info is available to anyone interested in learning more about schools and districts. Up to five schools may be compared at a time using information from one year or multiple years. The site can be used to review a school’s student performance, enrollment and staffing trends, financial records and compare the information to state-level results. The site also allows the generation of reports in PDF and Excel formats that can be used when making plans that will impact schools in the area.
