A two vehicle crash Monday afternoon at 12:55, on Missouri Route 14, has killed 60-year-old Donna Barton of Ava. According to Missouri State Trooper D.B. Blakenship, Barton was westbound 2 miles east of Sparta in a 2005 Chevy Silverado when her vehicle left the roadway, hit a ditch and overturned. Barton was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield where she was pronounced dead at 1:38 p.m. Barton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
