Cotter came away with one win as they played three games at Norfork. The senior boys’ contest was the lone victory for the Warriors as they defeated the Panthers 63-55. It was a different result in the senior girls’ contest as Cotter fell to Norfork 69-43. The evening began with Cotter’s junior girls losing to Norfork 38-22. Norfork will host Viola on Friday for Homecoming.



Viola had one victory in three games against Izard County at Brockwell.

In the senior boys’ game, the Longhorns were beaten by the Cougars 57-32. Taylor Reynolds and Dallas Farmer led Izard County with 14 points each, Tanner Brooks scored 13, and Justus Cooper added 11. The Cougars improve to 9-6 on the season and 3-0 in the 2A/1A-3.

The senior girls’ contest also went to Izard County after a 58-12 decision. The Lady Cougars were led by Kennedy Cooper with 19 points, Jen King had 11, and Natalie Everett chipped in ten. Izard County is now 10-2 on the year and 2-1 in district play.

Viola was able to begin the night by winning the junior girls’ game 65-32 over Izard County. Laney Rider was the Junior Lady Cougars’ top scorer with 30 points. Izard County’s record drops to 1-7.



Mammoth Spring’s high school teams ended up splitting with Calico Rock.

The Bears got past the Pirates in the boys’ game by a final of 46-42. Logan Skaggs paced Mammoth Spring with 15 points, Brett Mayfield finished with 13, and Sagen Godwin added 12. The Bears improve to 9-2 overall and 2-0 in the 2A/1A-3.

Mammoth Spring was not as fortunate in the girls’ contest as they fell to Calico Rock 79-74. The Lady Bears were led by Brianna Hocum with 32 points, and Stephane Henry scored 27. Mammoth Spring drops to 5-5 on the season and 0-2 in the district.

Mammoth Spring will travel to Salem on Friday.



Mountain Home was able to come away with a pair of junior high girls’ victories over Highland.

The freshmen game saw the Junior Lady Bombers top the Junior Lady Rebels 46-27. Anna Grace Foreman was Mountain Home’s leading scorer with 16 points, and Lauren Helmert chipped in ten. The Junior Lady Bombers’ record improves to 6-2, and they’ll host Bentonville December 8th.

In the eighth grade contest, Mountain Home was a 43-8 winner over Highland. Kaylee Crownover and Mariah Hudson led the Eighth Grade Lady Bombers with ten points each. Mountain Home remains undefeated in two games on the season, and they’ll travel to Valley Springs on Monday.



Mountain Home’s seventh grade boys suffered a loss on the road. The Seventh Grade Bombers fell to Cave City by a score of 28-19.



Mountain Home Christian Academy split a pair of home games with Highland.

The J.V. Eagles were defeated by the J.V. Patriots 58-48. Mountain Home Christian was led by Trenton Cox with 23 points.

Mountain Home Christian fared better in the 12-and-under game as they beat Highland 45-26. Cox was also the leader for the 12-and-under Eagles with 21 points and ten rebounds.
