The Baxter County Sheriff’s office announced the arrest of 36-year-old Rebecca Rene Bryniarski, of Mountain Home, in connection with a series of recent break-ins and thefts in Baxter County at three separate locations.

On November 6th the Sheriff’s office received a complaint of a break-in and theft at a shop building located on 174 Crawford Drive. One of the items stolen was a 5,000 pound winch with a cable breaking system. The LeadsOnline system showed the winch had been pawned on November 8th by Bryniarski.

Mountain Home Police also took two more reports in November of break-ins and thefts, one at a storage unit at 2169 Highway 62 West and the other nearby at 2471 Highway 62 West.

On December 1st Bryniarski was interviewed by investigators and admitted involvement in each of the cases. She was arrested and charged with 2 felony counts of breaking or entering and misdemeanor theft of property and theft by receiving.

She was released from the Baxter County Jail after posting a $10,000 dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in circuit court on Thursday.

Similar charges are expected to be filed later against a second suspect.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the investigation continues into the break-ins of storage units in which Dwayne Allen Thompson was charged. A large cache of stolen property was recovered and property remains to be claimed by its rightful owners. Anyone seeking to examine or lay claim to the stolen items can contact the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sheriff’s office to schedule an appointment. The office can be reached at 870-425-7000.
