Bombers fall to Sylvan Hills in Cyclone Classic opener

The Mountain Home High School boys' basketball team had a rough night as they played their first game in the Cyclone Classic at Russellville. The Bombers began the tournament by falling to Sylvan Hills 61-53.

Mountain Home led much of the first half until the last minute of the second quarter when the Bears took their first advantage since 2-0. While Sylvan Hills did keep the lead throughout the majority of the third quarter, the Bombers were able to tie the game back up before the period ended in part due to a 14-point effort from Luke Jackson. The Bears were aple to pull away enough in the final quarter to put the game out of reach for Mountain Home.

Luke Jackson led the Bombers with a season-high 32 points, and Garrett Dietsche grabbed 11 rebounds. For Sylvan Hills, Taleh Wade scored 14 points, Jacobe Davis had 14, and Jordan Washington added ten.

The Bears remain undefeated in six games on the season. Mountain Home falls to 1-6, and they'll move to the consolation bracket Thursday to face Greenwood.
