The Mountain Home Police Department recently made multiple drug arrests Wednesday. Officers served a search warrant at a residence on Maple Street in Mountain Home due to continued complaints of drug abuse at the location. The search warrant was the third warrant served at the residence in the last 60 days. Officers located substances believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia.
51-year-old Barry Fowler and 23-year-old Shelby Chevallier both of Mountain Home were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia for use of ingestion, possession of drug paraphernalia for use of distribution, proximity to certain facilities, and maintaining a drug premises. They were incarcerated in the Baxter County Jail. Fowler was released the same day on a $30,000 bon. Chevallier remains incarcerated on a $32,500 bond. Both have scheduled court dates on December 15 at 9:00 in the morning.
The same day a Mountain Home officer stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Randall Beard of Mountain Home for a traffic violation. He was in possession of a loaded .22 caliber rifle next to his leg. Beard is a convicted felon and currently on parole for past drug convictions. 21-year-old Mikayla Champion also of Mountain Home was a passenger in the vehicle. During a search, officers located a substance believed to be methamphetamine, Oxycodone pills, and paraphernalia. Officer seized a 2000 Chevrolet pickup and $3,115 in currency.
Beard was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia for use of ingestion, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a firearm by a certain person and parole violation. Champion was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both suspects are incarcerated in the Baxter County Jail with Beard’s bond set at $25,000 and Champion’s bond set at $2,500.
