The National Park Service is accepting applications for Commercial Use Authorizations to conduct water based commercial activities on the Buffalo National River. Approved actives include guided fishing and sightseeing conducted by a jon boat or drift boat.
To obtain a Commercial Use Authorization for water based activities must submit an application and $100 nonreturnable application fee to the Buffalo National River Commercial Services office. Applications are due December 30th. If the application is approved, the permit will be effected for two years beginning January 1st.
Holders of the authorization are required to submit an annual gross receipts report. All forms, instructions, and guidelines are available on-line at nps.gov.
In addition to guided fishing and guided sightseeing tours, the Buffalo National River also offers commercial authorization land-based actives such as guided photography, camping and overnight backpacking, day hiking, and rappelling, and many other services.
