Steven Michael Taylor of Mountain Home pled guilty to a number of drug-related charges and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, with 2 suspended and 10 to serve, during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Charges against the 37-year-old Taylor were first filed in April and he continued to pick up charges through October.

In one of the later cases filed against Taylor, he was charged with making a number of drug sales to a confidential informant in September and October involving about 11 grams of methamphetamine, according to court records.

Taylor was picked up at a rural Baxter County residence early last month on the drug charges and officers found approximately 5.5 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, glass smoking pipes, marijuana grinders, assorted prescription narcotics and several syringes.

Taylor was also charged with using a cellphone to arrange various drug transactions.
