Yellville-Summit’s high school basketball teams were able to sweep Berryville Monday on the home court.

The boys’ game ended with the Panthers defeating the Bobcats 60-48. Jacob Gentry led Yellville-Summit with 20 points, and Nash Dowden added 15.

In the girls’ contest, Yellville-Summit topped Berryville 38-31. The Lady Panthers were led by Kyli Duffy with 11 points, and Justina Jenkins chipped in ten.



Mountain Home picked up a pair of junior high girls’ victories at home over Greene County Tech.

The freshmen contest finished with the Junior Lady Bombers beating the Junior Lady Eagles 28-20. Anna Grace Foreman was Mountain Home’s top scorer with ten points. The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 7-3 on the season, and their next game will be January 5th when they go to Southside Batesville.

Mountain Home also took the eighth grade contest over Tech with a 38-22 decision. Mariah Hudson paced the Eighth Grade Lady Bombers with 17 points. Mountain Home remains undefeated in five games on the year, and they’ll continue their home stand Thursday against Yellville-Summit.



Mountain Home also had three junior high boys’ games against Tech at Paragould.

In the freshmen game, the Junior Bombers fell to the Junior Golden Eagles 43-34. Mountain Home was led by Satch Harris with ten points. The Junior Bombers fall to 4-6 on the season.

The eighth grade game was the lone win for Mountain Home as they got past Tech 40-31. Brandon Morris and Dawson Tabor were the Eighth Grade Bombers’ leading scorers with 12 points each. Mountain Home’s record is now 8-0, and they’ll join the freshmen team next Monday at Cotter.

The evening began with Mountain Home getting edged out by Tech in the seventh grade contest 27-25. Cooper Oxford led Mountain Home with 13 points.
