A gift certificate is best way to give a pet for Christmas

     The idea of giving a child or loved one a pet as a Christmas gift may seem like a thoughtful gift, but animal experts advise against it. They advise letting the recipient pick out their own four legged furry friend to make sure it is an ideal match. Carolyn Carter, Shelter Manager at the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas agrees.

     She suggests giving a gift certificate with things for the new pet like toys, a collar, leash and treats is better idea. And, the local humane society has specials this December.
