MHHS basketball splits with Harrison

It was a split for the Mountain Home High School basketball teams Friday night at home against Harrison. Brad Haworth has the details.

The Lady Bombers started the night with a come from behind 36-30 win. Harrison jumped out to a 10-2 lead but the Lady Bombers went on a 15-2 run to take a 17-10 lead at the half. Mountain Home held Harrison to no points in the second quarter and just two points in the third.
Mountain Home was able to hit all ten of their free throws in the fourth quarter and was 13 of 14 from the line in the game.
Hannah Pfiefer led the scoring with 14 points and Vinessa Daniel grabbed 16 rebounds on the night as Mountain Home improves to 5-5 on the season.
Harrison got 11 points from Briley Due as they fall to 6-4.

In the boy's game, Harrison pulled away in the second half for an 83-53 win. Mountain Home was able to keep the game close most of the first half, trailing 33-27 at the break. But the Goblins outscored the Bombers 50-26 in the second half for the win.
Tanner Curry scored 23 of his game high 27 points in the second half for Harrison while Trevor Atwell added 24 points. The Goblins improve to 6-2 on the year.
For the Bombers, who drop to 1-8, Garrett Dietsche and Luke Kruse each scored 14 points.

Mountain Home will travel to Russellville Monday.
