The Donald W. Reynolds Library will host another Paws for Reading session Friday afternoon, December 16th, from four to five.

Paws for Reading is a partnership program between Paws for Love and the Baxter County Library. The program allows students in grades K-3 to read to a registered therapy dog in 15 minute sessions. The program helps to build the child’s confidence in his or her reading ability and children who are struggling with reading aloud. The readings teach therapy dogs to work on patience and human interaction as well.

To register for a session call the Children’s Library at 870-580-0910.

All children’s programs are free as a service of the Baxter County Library through generous donations and scholarships. Children of all abilities are encouraged to participate.
