The Cotter City Council met in special session on December 15 with all council members present. The council heard a presentation from Mark Kapshandy, President of the North Arkansas Youth Center, about the centers monthly activities. He relayed to the court there are rising costs associated with the increased use of the youth facility.
In other council news, the council ratified Mayor Peggy Hammock’s appointment of Joe Ross to the Planning and Zoning Commission. She is seeking to fill two other spots on the board. The 2017 Cotter City Council code of conduct for meetings was set and a resolution was passed to adopt the 2017 operating budget.
Cotter City Offices will be closed on December 23rd through the 26th in observance of the Christmas Holiday. The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting will be Monday evening January 26, at 6:00 in Cotter City Hall.
