The Alpha House men’s shelter was the recent recipient of a $5,000 dollar donation from The Twin Lakes Thunder annual motorcycle rally held in October. According to Joanna Farris, the check was presented last Saturday at their appreciation banquet. The Twin Lakes Thunder website says all proceeds from the rally go to Alpha House. The Alpha House is a Christian based homeless shelter for men. The shelter is a transitional shelter, set up to assist men in getting back on their feet with helping them with employment, counseling, helping them receive any form of help for any physical and mental health issues.
The Twin Lakes Thunder Rally is a free two day event for bikers, non-bikers and families. According to their Facebook page the next rally will be held the weekend of October 26-29, 2017 at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. They will have vendors, games, live bands, primitive camping and guided rides through the Twin Lakes area. For more information go to http://twinlakesthunder.com/index.html.
