In high school basketball Friday night, Norfork split their 2A-1A 3 District games against Izard County. The Lady Panthers posted an 89-68 win. The Norfork girls improve to 19-1 on the season and 8-0 in district play while Izard County falls to 17-4 overall and 5-2 in district play.

In the boy’s game, Izard County defeated Norfork 63-41. The Cougars are now 17-7 overall and 7-0 in the district. Norfork falls to 5-10 and 3-4.





The Cotter girls went to Viola and picked up a 56-34 win. Marie Reed and Alexa Wooten led the scoring with 12 points each.







Mammoth Spring went to Flippin and won a pair of games. The Bears won the boy’s game 53-34. Logan Skaggs pumped in 21 points and Sagen Godwin added 15 as Mammoth Spring improves to 12-5 overall and 4-2 in the 2A-1A 3 District.

Mammoth Spring topped Flippin in the senior girl’s game 54-35. Stephine Henry had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Bears who improve to 7-9 and 2-5.

The Mammoth Spring teams play again next week in the N.E.A. Tournament in Jonesboro. The boys play Marmaduke Monday while the girls take on Rector Tuesday.
