The Izard County High School girls’ basketball team was able to advance to the Division I semifinals of the NEA Tournament at the ASU Convocation Center in Jonesboro. The Lady Cougars defeated Sloan-Hendrix by a final of 54-40. Jen King led Izard County with 29 points. The Lady Cougars improve to 18-4 on the season, and they’ll return to the Convo on Friday for a morning session against Marmaduke.
