(AP) – A locomotive operator at Nucor-Yamato Steel in
Blytheville has died following at accident at the mill.
Authorities say 54-year-old Bobby Sellars of Burdette died after being pinned
between two rail cars Tuesday afternoon.
Nucor-Yamato vice president and General Manager Leon Topalian said in a
statement that the mill has suspended operations and will work with federal
investigators to determine the cause of the accident.
Topalian said Sellars had worked for the steel mill for 27 years and expressed
sympathy to his family and friends. Topalian said the company’s employee
assistance program is available to Nucor-Yamato’s workers.
