A pair of local high school basketball teams saw action Thursday in the Division I quarterfinals of the NEA Tournament at the ASU Convocation Center in Jonesboro.
Mammoth Spring’s girls were eliminated from the tournament after falling to top-seeded Bay by a score of 77-32. The Lady Bears drop to 8-10 on the season.
The Izard County boys advanced to the Division I final four after getting past Sloan-Hendrix 70-65. Taylor Reynolds led the Cougars with 33 points and ten rebounds, and Justus Cooper added 19 points. Izard County improves to 20-7 on the year.
