While the Twin Lakes Area experiences rain chances for the holiday weekend, we will also have unseasonably warm temperatures. According to the forecast, highs for north central Arkansas will be in the upper 60s on Christmas Day. National Weather Service Meteorologist Dennis Cavanaugh from the office in North Little Rock says the warm conditions will be caused by a storm system moving through the central portions of the United States on Sunday.

In the past, similar warm weather conditions during the winter have led to severe weather, but Cavanaugh says that shouldn’t be the case this time for the Twin Lakes Area.
