The local Monday schedule includes some high school basketball teams in tournament play.
Three area boys’ teams will begin action in the Cabool Holiday Tournament. Gainesville meets the host school at 4:30 in a battle between Bulldogs, Bakersfield faces Mountain View-Liberty at 6:00, and Dora takes on Eminence at 7:30.
A few local girls’ squads will start play in the Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament. Gainesville will be paired with the junior varsity squad from Salem, Missouri, at 10:30, Ava plays Mountain View-Liberty at 6:00, and Dora meets Licking at 7:30.
Elsewhere, Mountain View’s teams are scheduled to begin the Heber Springs Holiday Tournament.
