Spring Temps on Christmas Day

Although it felt more like spring than Christmas Day, when temperatures in the Twin Lakes Area topped out at 67 degrees, that isn’t a record, according to John Lewis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in North Little Rock. The record high he says came in 1922 when the Christmas Day high was 73 degrees. The coldest Christmas Day for Mountain Home came in 1983 when the low reached minus 10 degrees. The average temperatures for Christmas in north central Arkansas are in the range of mid-40’s for a high and upper 20’s for a low.
