A crash Yesterday in Taney County has killed 48-year-old Kenneth Claypool of Branson. According to a report from Arkansas State Trooper D.A. Yingling, the accident occurred at 12:53 in the afternoon on Highway 76, two and a half miles east of Kirbyville. Claypool’s vehicle was hit nearly head on by a car driven by 67 year old Sandra Philbrick, also of Branson. Her vehicle overturned and came to rest on the road. Claypool’s vehicle also overturned and came to rest in a ditch.
He was pronounced dead on the scene and transported to Snapps Bearden Home of Branson. Philbrick was transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield. No information on her condition was available at the time of this report. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Claypool was not.
