High school basketball makes up the local Monday schedule as the opening round of the 43rd annual North Arkansas College Senior Boys and Girls Tournament continues at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison. In girls’ action, Alpena and Hector tip off at four p.m., and Lead Hill faces Omaha at 6:30. On the boys’ side, Deer takes on Kingston at 5:15, and Yellville-Summit meets Jasper at 7:45.
Both of Salem’s teams will be in Swifton for their first games in the George Kell Classic. The girls’ bracket includes a battle between Lady Greyhounds as Salem tips off against Newport at 4:00, and the Greyhound boys play Cross County at 5:20.
Elsewhere, Melbourne’s boys travel to Hoxie.
