It was three days into the New Year before the first baby born at Baxter Regional Medical Center arrived, but given the story of his parents journey to get to the hospital, which began December 2 in Williston, North Dakota, little Titan Fox Johnson can be forgiven.

The Johnson family, father, Seth; mother, LeeAnn and brothers, 12 year old Tristyn and 17 month old Tyler, were in North Dakota where dad worked has a heavy equipment operator on a road crew. They set out for Melbourne, with plans to be home for Christmas and the baby’s birth when, two days into their journey in the middle of a blizzard and sub-zero temperatures, they ran into trouble when Seth’s truck, which was pulling a 40-foot, camper broke down outside Watertown, South Dakota.

Seth says he wouldn’t have been afraid, had he been alone, but having his young family made a difference. After two long hours, help arrived and they were taken to a hotel where the spent while the truck was being repaired and they waited for weather to clear. After two days on the road, they broke down again.
