The North Arkansas College Senior Boys and Girls Tournament wrapped up its quarterfinal round Thursday at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison.

Marshall’s boys were eliminated by Highland 56-55 in overtime. Garrett Harris, Jacob Loggins and Jeff Jennings led the Bobcats with 12 points each, and Andrew Phillips added 11. Marshall falls to 9-5 on the season.

The other boys’ game was won by Alpena. The Leopards edged out Deer by a final of 54-53.

Bergman was bounced from the girls’ bracket. The Lady Panthers suffered a 59-58 double overtime loss to Omaha.



Dora lost its opener in the Liberty Girls Tournament Thursday at Mountain View, Missouri. The Lady Falcons fell to Bay 59-35.



The Mountain Home freshmen boys ended up falling to Southside Batesville by a score of 40-30. The Junior Bombers were led by Brandon Morris with 11 points, and Wyatt Gilbert chipped in ten. Mountain Home drops to 4-11 on the year.

Mountain Home fared better in the eighth grade contest as they topped Southside 34-20. Matt Jones was the Eighth Grade Bombers’ top scorer with 14 points. Mountain Home remains unbeaten in nine games on the season.

Both Mountain Home teams will be in the Hangar Monday as they take on Branson.
