A Mt. Pleasant man has been arrested and charged with assault in the first degree for hitting a seven year old boy with his vehicle Thursday morning as the child attempted to board a school bus. Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence says 28 year old Tyler Heath Little was released from the county jail after posting $500 bond.
The 7 a.m. accident on U. S. Highway 69 south of Mt. Pleasant. The unidentified child was flown by to Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock. The sheriff says the childs injuries were significantly less than originally reported.
