Firefighters from Gassville and Cotter Fire Departments responded to an out of control brush fire Wednesday afternoon that threatened a residence on Willow Trail in Gassville. A spokesperson from the Baxter County 911 Office said the homeowner reported the fire shortly after 3:30. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it could reached the home and nearby woods in a little over an hour.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
