A traffic stop, by the Mountain Home Police Department, has resulted in the arrest of 27-year-old Timothy Stephen Gibbs of Mountain Home. According to an arrest affidavit, at 11:54 Thursday night an investigator with Mountain Home Police was following a vehicle with a license plate which came back as belonging to Gibbs. The officer knew from previous encounters Gibbs’ license had been suspended.

As Gibbs pulled into a parking lot the officer pulled in behind him and arrested him for driving on a suspended license and no insurance. During an inventory of the vehicle, before it was towed, officers located a small amount of methamphetamine and several small plastic baggies consistent with packaging the drug.

Gibbs was booked into the Baxter County Jail on a $2,500 bond early Friday and was released the same day. He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 26th.
