A Mountain Home woman, 50-year-old Felisha Ann Jones was arrested at 5:00 Monday morning on felony charges of battery in the second degree, along with misdemeanor resisting arrest and criminal trespass. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, a complaint call came in around 4:51 from 313 Hicks Road reporting Jones was beating on the door of the residence and trying to get in. Jones had been previously warned to stay away from the home.

Deputy Craig Gates arrived on the scene, but Jones was nowhere to be found. Shortly after, a second call came in indicating Jones had returned. As Deputy Gates attempted to take her into custody she pulled away and began fighting with him. Jones allegedly punched him in the head, bit his arm and spit in his face. She was eventually subdued and taken to the Baxter County Jail. Deputy Gates didn’t seek medical attention.

Jones is being held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
