Over $65,500 in building permits issued by City of Mtn. Home in 2016

     The City of Mountain Home issued 103 building permits with construction costs of nearly $21,400,000, according to Roberta Pack from the Building Inspection Office. The total 2016 permits was $64,571 which includes $46,366 for building permits, $3,150 for electric permits, $1,595 for mechanical permits $8,765 for plumbing permits, $150 for a 30-sales permit and $30 in lot splits.

     Thirteen permits for residential units, totaling nearly $5 million in construction costs were issued including 11 single family homes, one two family duplex and one apartment with 48 units.

     Permits for 70 nonresidential structures were issued with total construction costs of over $13 million. Included in the total were nine stores; one church; one professional and two public works buildings; 36 sign permits and 21 other nonresidential units, including driveways, parking lots and sheds.

     Additionally, permits for 14 nonresidential commercial additions or remodels were issued along with one for a residential addition, one for the demolition of a residence and four garages or carports totaling over $3 million in construction costs.

    The building inspectors office conducted 923 inspections during 2016.
